Blizzard Costs Missouri $7.7 Million in Highway Clearing

As the wintery mix falls outside the “offices” of Infrastructure Watch, the Missouri Department of Transportation has updated its estimate of the cost to clear road during the recent blizzard to $7.7 million. The cost includes 90,000 man-hours and 1.1 million miles logged on snowplows. This does not include local government costs for clearing snow from the roads they maintain.
