First Stimulus Project to Begin Construction Opens

Missouri rushed to be the first state to begin construction on a project funded by the American Recover and Reinvestment Act. Construction on the bridge over the Osage River near the rural town of Tuscumbia, which replaces an older bridge, began about 18 months ago and it was opened to traffic earlier this month. You can find out a little more from the Missouri Department of Transportation news release and blog.
