Congressional Activity

BILLS INTRODUCED

S. 3736, introduced by Sen. James Inhofe (OK), would allow states to opt out of the corn ethanol portion of the renewable fuel standards of the Clean Air Act.

The Small-Scale Hydropower Enhancement Act of 2010 (H.R. 5922), introduced by Rep. Adrian Smith (NE), would exempt small hydroelectric projects (1.5 megawatts or less) from the requirements of the Federal Power Act.

BILLS REFERED TO COMMITTEE

A Roadmap for America’s Energy Future (H.R. 5899) was referred to the House Subcommittee on Water Resources and Environment. The bill would set policy related the management of mineral energy resources and investment in other energy resources.

BILLS SCHEDULED FOR DEBATE

The Economic Revitalization and Innovation Act of 2010 (H.R. 5897), makes various revisions to the Public Works and Economic Development Act of 1965.

The Water Resources Development Act of 2010 (H.R 5892), deals with the authorization for a host of Corp of Engineers projects and studies.
