Missouri and Arkansas officials are expected to meet this summer to discuss water resources issues under a cooperative agreement the two states entered last year. A provision of this agreement calls for annual meetings between the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality and Arkansas Natural Resources Commission. Items the agencies may discuss include sharing of water quality and quantity data; projected growth in water demands; examining water quality standards in each state; and joint studies on interstate total maximum daily loads.
