Bill Introduced to Establish, Lower National Speed Limits

Rep. Jackie Speier (California) has introduced the Gasoline Savings and Speed Limit Reduction Act of 2008 (H.R. 6458). The bill would lower the speed limit to 60 miles per hour on many highways and 65 miles per hour on highways in non-urban areas.
