Bill Introduced to Make Federal Disaster Aid Available to Private Energy Utilities

Representative Charlie Melancon (Louisiana) has introduced “Ratepayer Recovery Act of 2007” (H.R. 6013). The bill would allow private and invester-owned natural gas and electrical utilities to receive federal aid to repair disaster-damaged transmission and distribution infrastructure.
