Water Briefs

The Corps of Engineers announced it will be reducing flow through dams along the Missouri River. The Corps had been releasing large flows from the reservoirs due to large snowmelt and spring rains in the upper part of the river basin, permitting summer flooding downstream. MORE

New York City is considering bringing in water from New Jersey, to the dismay of some if its citizens. NYC will be shutting down the Delaware Aqueduct, which brings water to the city from upstate New York, for up to a year beginning in 2018 to repair the leaking conveyance. MORE
