Bill Would Require Public Employee Inspection of Federally-Funded Transportation Projects

Rep. Bob Filner (CA) introduced the Safety, Efficiency, and Accountability in Transportation Projects Through Public Inspection Act of 2011 (H.R. 328). The bill would require public employees to carry out construction inspections for all surface transportation projects that receive federal funding.
