Rep. Donna Edwards (MD) has introduced the Green Infrastructure for Clean Water Act of 2009 (H.R. 4202). The bill would
-Create 3 to 5 centers for excellence to research and disseminate information on green infrastructure.
-Provide grants for planning and implementing green infrastructure projects.
-Create a Green Infrastructure Program within the Environmental Protection Agency.
The bill authorizes $350 million a year from 2011 through 2014 for these purposes.
