Stimulus Funds Making Their Way to Drinking Water and Wastewater Projects

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has issued guidance for handling the $6 billion in additional funding for the state revolving fund programs for drinking water and wastewater funding authorized by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. EPA plans for its regional offices to approve grant agreements with the states by June 1, 2009. The state, in turn, have project to point of construction contract awards by February 17, 2010.
