Civil Engineers Give American Infrastructure a Low Grade

The American Society of Civil Engineers released its 2009 Report Card for American Infrastructure today. Overall, the organization gave infrastructure a D on an A to F scale like that used in school, i.e. it is seriously deficient. The full report discusses 15 areas of infrastructure, of which the best grade was C+ for solid waste.
