Congress of Deadlines
The Congress of deadlines continues procrastinating. Actually, I think sunsets clauses are a good idea, it forces a legislature to revisit a program and makes ending the program the default result of inaction. However, being a creature of procrastination, Congress is once again waiting to the last minute to reconsider an importation issue. This time it is the federal gas tax. States are threatening that expiration of the tax will result in halts in transportation construction. You can find more here.
