Congressional Budget Office recently estimated that it would take $3.1 billion over the years 2009-2013 to fund programs proposed under the Small Community Drinking Water Funding Act (
S. 1933). The bill would establish a Small Public Water System Assistance Program in the
Environmental Protection Agency that would provide grants to states and Indian tribes for funding, through recipient activity and subgrants, technical and financial assistance for small water systems.
